Is this a new character?: Kind of?
Please list all of your current characters as well as the faction(s) that they are a part of:
Tomoe Kurosawa - Civil Protection
Orochi Takahashi - Rebel/Criminal/Yakuza
Yuji Nakagawa - Citizen
Character full name: Yuji Nakagawa
Character physical description:
Yuji stands at 5’10” (178 cm) with a lean, wiry build-once strong from years of police work, now worn down by trauma and post-invasion malnourishment. A noticeable limp slows his movements, a lasting injury from the early days of the occupation.
His face is hollow and drawn, lined with stress and sleeplessness. Dark brown eyes, once kind, are now sunken and haunted, and his skin has faded from a healthy tan to a pale, sickly tone after years spent mostly indoors.
Yuji’s hair, streaked with grey, has grown out into a slightly shaggy, unkempt mess, and a patchy beard or stubble often clings to his face. He no longer carries himself like the disciplined officer he once was-just a tired man shaped by loss.
Character age: 36
Character backstory:
Yuji is a former police officer from Kyoto, once respected for his calm professionalism and dedication to helping others. During the Seven Hour War, he watched helplessly as his wife and two children were murdered by the Combine, right in front of him - a moment that shattered him and left a hatred he’s carried ever since.
The occupation took everything: his family, his career, and the sense of order he had built his life around. Outwardly, Yuji devotes himself to helping his fellow civilians, trying to build some hope through acts of aid and community work. But beneath that calm, disciplined exterior, he’s a man slowly breaking, consumed by grief and anger.
Describe, in detail, what authorization you are applying for:
I’d like for Yuji to start his story in Lancer with a pistol and three bullets left over from his time as a police officer in Kyoto. In my head, he would’ve kept these close, and in the chaos of the early occupation, I think it’s reasonable that someone could’ve slipped something like this past security.
The gun isn’t meant for casual use or as a way to give Yuji any real edge in fights - it’s there for one purpose. I plan to end Yuji’s story with a murder/suicide. Once I’ve done what I’m aiming to do (getting a Civil Aid faction running and leaving that framework behind for others), Yuji - a man broken by grief and eaten alive by his hatred for the ones responsible - would make his final statement on the will of man by killing a prominent member of the CCA, and then turning the gun on himself.
I’ve already been talking with Vanguard about this idea, and we’re both looking to make it into something dramatic and meaningful for the server.
Explain how this authorization will benefit the server:
I’m hoping this creates a real shock in the civilian RP side of things. Yuji isn’t a rebel character, and he’s not the type to work with them, so for most people this will be a huge twist.
The assassination of a CCA official by a guy everyone thought was just a helpful civilian should:
Provide an In-Character explanation for this authorization:
"I… was a police officer. In Kyoto. Before all of this. When things fell apart, I-... I kept my service pistol. It wasn’t hard back then. Nobody was watching too closely, and… I knew how to keep my head down.
I’ve held onto it since. Not for… fighting, or anything like that. It’s just… something from before. And, if I’m honest… maybe because… if it ever got too much, I wanted to know I had a way out. Something I could control. That’s all it’s ever been for."

The assassination of a CCA official by a guy everyone thought was just a helpful civilian should:
- Send a ripple through the civilian side of RP - fear, anger, confusion, maybe even inspiring some people.
- Force a strong reaction from Civil Protection and the CCA, which could lead to more security, investigations, and consequences that affect everyone.
- Hopefully end up being one of those memorable events people talk about for a long time.
