Tinkering Away.
Lambda is a global resistance movement aiming at freeing humanity from the tyrannical grip of The Combine. Originating from the very place the Resonance Cascade happened, their manpower, resources, and will have significantly expanded, and they have gone to great lengths to try and bring peace or to at least create some form of the resemblance of the world they all once knew and loved.
Due to several reasons including the technologically advanced nature of City 8, the strong grip The Combine has on the sector, and the dangerous outlands surrounding it, they have had less success in their operations in this region. As a result, they have significantly less manpower in City 8 and have instead opted to act as a purely supporting force for local resistance cells.
In-game, Lambda is not an active participant in the war against The Combine. Still, it instead aids other resistance cells in ways such as supplying resources like food and water, ammunition, tools, information, expeditions, quests, etc, among other things like assisting in small attacks or incursions if seen fit.
