LANCER NETWORKS STAFF GUIDELINES


This thread lists all the current active rules for the Staff Members on the Half-Life 2 Roleplay Server:
Note: We acknowledge that reading and following a huge list of rules can be boring and annoying at times. For this, we tried to keep them as clear and short as possible. Regardless of this, if a Higher-Up feels like you shouldn't be doing something, listen to them. If you disagree with something that a higher-ranking member of staff is telling you, please contact the current Administrative Manager or anyone above.

Staff Rules:
  1. YOU MAY ONLY USE YOUR ADMINISTRATIVE POWERS FOR ADMINISTRATIVE PURPOSES.
    1. Actions & commands such as kicking, (Soft/Hard)Banning, teleporting, etc are reserved for administrative purposes only.
  2. DO NOT USE ANY COMMANDS OR POWERS ON YOUR FELLOW STAFF MEMBERS WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT.
    1. This includes picking them up with your physgun, teleporting them, changing their name, etc.
  3. WHEN IN AN ADMIN SITUATION, ALWAYS BEHAVE IN A CALM AND FRIENDLY MANNER.
    1. If the person you are talking to is insulting or harassing you, do not insult them back. Kill them with kindness.
  4. AS A STAFF MEMBER, STAFF CALLS / REQUESTS ARE YOUR NUMBER 1 PRIORITY.
    1. If there is someone requesting assistance and you are in the middle of roleplay, provided it can wait, notify the other party that you have to go for a few minutes and go help the caller.
    2. If you are unable to respond to the request, say so in the in-game staff chat and request another member of staff to handle the situation.
    3. This does not mean that you should sit in the admin room or fly in observer all day, waiting for calls. If there isn't anyone needing help, you should return to roleplay.
  5. TRY TO DISPLAY A SERIOUS AND PROFESSIONAL IMAGE TO THE PUBLIC.
    1. Jokes and banter is fine, but acting childish puts a bad image on the Administration Team and the community as a whole.
  6. LEAKING CONTENT FROM PRIVATE STAFF CHATS IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
    1. This includes but is not limited to the in-game staff chat, the discord, and the forums, no matter of the severity of the content leaked.
  7. YOU MAY NOT BE A STAFF MEMBER IN ANOTHER COMMUNITY, REGARDLESS OF GAMEMODE.
    1. This also includes being in positions that would take up a large amount of your time, such as leading a faction.
  8. IF YOU PLAN TO BE INACTIVE FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME, YOU MUST INFORM YOUR ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGER.
    1. If you fail to notify the active Administrative Manager or another member of the Internal Affairs or Management Team of your LOA period, you will be counted as inactive and be subject for demotion.

THESE RULES ARE NOT LIMITED TO WHAT IS SPECIFIED ABOVE. INTERNAL AFFAIRS & MANAGEMENT MEMBERS MAY DECIDE WHAT IS AND IS NOT AGAINST THE RULES USING THEIR INTERPRETATION AND JUDGEMENT.
ANY UPDATES/CHANGES TO THESE RULES WILL BE DOCUMENTED IN A POST BELOW.
