Rising from the ashes of Central America after the devastating Seven Hour War in 2003, the Patriot Boys stand as a testament to unyielding resilience and determination. These well-armed and prepared individuals, often preppers or veterans of past wars, formed a united front against the regime. Despite the growing strength of the Combine rule and the disorganisation and relocation of local chapters, they persevered, embodying the spirit of resistance. Their ideology was then brought into different cultures worldwide, inspiring admiration for their tenacity.
The principle of the Patriot Boys brought these diverse cultures together: the ability to practice one's own culture without the oppression of another individual, enforce human rights, and practice free speech.

Wyatt Sellers, an Iraq war veteran, now resides in City 8, striving for survival.
Wyatt Sellers is a 38-year-old Iraq war veteran who served most of his twenties in the US Army. Born and raised in a small town in Texas, Wyatt grew up in a family of military veterans and was always fascinated by the stories they told him about their experiences. After graduating high school, Wyatt enlisted in the army and was soon deployed to Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. During his time in Iraq, Wyatt saw and experienced things that no one should ever go through. He witnessed the horrors of war firsthand, lost friends in combat, and suffered injuries himself. Despite the challenges, Wyatt remained committed to his duty and served with honour and distinction.
While stationed in Iraq, Operation Freedom soon became a controlled effort during May, when the Seven Hour War began following the Combine Invasion; himself being brought back into the United States and conformed into City Thirty, Washington D.C, where the resistance against the combine was well-equipped and robust. Sellers was held in high regard wherever they journeyed, their reputation as reliable individuals preceding them. Their primary goal, however, was self-preservation - to sustain a bearable existence under the oppressive combine rule. Despite this, their national pride was evident in the patches they wore with honour, a testament to their time in the United States Army. Their survival skills, such as crafting makeshift tools and living covertly, were invaluable, their physical prowess playing a crucial role in their survival.
Following a sequence of unforeseeable events, Wyatt and his colleagues found themselves in a situation where they had no choice but to flee the United States. After deciding, they separated and went their separate ways, with Wyatt ending up in City 8. However, unlike his colleagues, Wyatt did not have a CID or relocation coupon, leaving him vulnerable.
Uncertain of what lies ahead, Wyatt is compelled to depend on his survival instincts and the goodwill of the locals. He roams the city, searching for a haven, constantly vigilant of potential dangers. Despite the odds, Wyatt remains resolute in making the most of his circumstances, nurturing a glimmer of hope that City 8 may someday become his new home.
