Suggestion:
I'll be the first to say; A scripted hunger system isn't something I'm a fan of. But I think if we must have it, it should be more meaningful than just buying 8 boxes of noodles to satisfy a single "Hunger" bar.

I think a nutrition system would ideal. Keep the hunger bar itself, but add "Sugar, Fat, Protein, Vitamins, Minerals"
Give different food items different values. But keep Huel as the only one who has them all. Make Huel way less common and adjust it so you can only barely survive on rations.

Why it would be worth adding:
This way it becomes important to earn money to buy food. And not just I buy 8 noodles to not starve, but you have to eat noodles for Fat, Protein, and Minerals. Then you have to eat fruit for Sugar and Vitamins etc. It means variety in food matters, which gives other food vendors who sell something different than just noodles a reason to exist. Some food is cheaper than others, and some of these deplete faster than others. So it's not always economically viable to get noodles for Fat and Minerals, so instead, you can buy a bag of chips. It won't give you Protein like noodles, nor will it give you as much Fat and Minerals, but it'll cost a lot less.

Right now, the only reason to eat anything other than noodles is for IC reasons, but let's be honest; Not everyone really does that. I think giving them a push towards it would help spawn new places to gather and socialize out of necessity.

While I think this is a very cool and interesting concept, I'm not so sure people would like being forced to eat specific food items because a file on the server told them to.

Regardless of this, we could definitely give it a try one day and see how it goes and how people react to it. Could you be more specific on the types of nutrients that would be required, and what possible effects could be applied if said nutrients are not tended to?

My logic is that you're right. But people are forced to satisfy a hunger script already, so why not make the best of it and try to make it work to our advantage by inspiring some kind of interaction with it.

I'll come up with some nutrient deficiency stuff.

It should also give benefits to staying satisfied and well-fed, and it gives you a slight increase to your attributes so you get like a +1 to your rolls.

This seems like a really bad idea considering you can already get a twenty roll bonus. Would you really want the statwhores to have twenty-one?

Starchy items such as potatoes would have carbohydrates, as would noodles as they are both high in starch.

Huel would obviously contain all four groups in a moderate amount. Enough to stave off malnutrition to the point of death, but not enough to make you stronk.

An additional suggestion would be to give Huel an upper limit, so you can't just chug 2-3 containers of Huel and as a result, refill your nutritional requirements 100%. Maybe only 25%-50%. The rest would have to come from other sources of food. This would also make non-citizens residing outside of the city require the acquisition of more whole food sources.

If @Aspect sends me a list of food items, I will research what their constituent components are and come up with an exhaustive list of what elements they would include.

Since Native's not able to provide an exact list of nutrients, effects, foods, etc, I'll close this thread. Not to mention, this can and will overcomplicate things, from both a gameplay side and a development side. Maybe one day in the future, but for now, Denied.
