What the fuck?

The addition of new tools (or additions made to pre-existing tools) to allow the player to break certain props down in exchange for crafting components.

I.E a buzz saw which can cut through steel, doors, and wood in exchange for a bulk load of crafting components such as wood and scrap metal, a screwdriver being used to ICly open a computer tower in order to gut it for electrical scrap and plastic. Etc. etc

Why the fuck?

Power tools being added (with practical purpose) could extend to freeing Vortigaunts from their shackles ICly. But moreover, the goal of this would be to make scavenging easier for those with the means to break down objects. Instead of relying on item spawns or breaking down garbage.

More items being crafted, and ideally traded, that could help grow the underground economy get off its feet until we add drug-items to really kick things off.

Perhaps a tunnel is fenced off and you need bolt cutters to get through, giving you some scrap metal. Making propblock into an obstacle that can be approached ICly instead of crying OOCly.

Breaking down locked doors with a sledgehammer, axe, or a buzz saw could be cool.

It's really just for convenience. Also gives players a reason to steal tools.

How the fuck?

I'm too lazy to actually link any specific models but I'm pretty that they can be found. I'm sure most of them are either in HL2 or CS content.

Considering most props are not actually IC are more decorations than anything (eg computer screens and shit, you didn't find that ICly.), this wouldn't work, especially with map props. I also don't want players going around and salvaging every prop they can find.
Some tools mentioned may be added in the future for crafting use.

Denied.
