They're always looking for reasons to knock others."
The Japanese - Thugs
"They preach on about honor and code, but don't follow it themselves.
They disrespect the elderly, resort to cowardly modes of combat and intimidation.
I can see why my ancestors were keeping busy with inventing weapons against them.
Except perhaps a few individuals, especially this Ruyji fellow. Gave me a coupon for free."
The 'Scientists' - Wary
"These men don't seem to have humanity's best interests in mind, judging by the gas suits.
My guess is they're going to create some kind of weapon, or even spread Xenian fungus against civilians.
How noble of them... They're only geared for war, not real science, the kind of science that helps people.
I suppose I'll have to try elsewhere. Perhaps the state, even with its limiting rules, is a better option to this."

"Part of the state which I find somewhat regrettable, they will be severely limited by government men, I know from experience.
Still, I have little choice but to play along. The alternative is certain death or an unaccomplished life. I will do what I can while in the CRU.
Their hiring criteria is too loose, half of these people I would not have taken in myself. Especially Walter, who very clearly has ulterior motives."

Ruyji - Fine
"This boy, he is Japanese, part of their mob. Still, compared to his associates he's been better than the rest. His associates are rude and keep preaching their ideals when nobody cares. Not Ryuji, however. I understand his job entails being nice to customers, as a barman, but still, it's far better than the treatment the rest of the mob men have given me, especially considering I haven't made a single move against them. His group preaches on about honor, respecting family and elders, but so far they haven't followed any of that."

"From mobster to colleague, I have yet to see if he is any good however I will remain positive. He did not have time to complete any formal education I hear, very unfortunate but not career ending.
I suppose I will have to show him how things are done, show him how scientific initiatives really come to fruition. I suppose I can also give him some of my old books, let him read up on what he missed.
Other than that it is all up to him, personally I would like to see a new face in the scientific community, as my time in it is finite."
Menkorn - Chairman
"The vice chairman of the CRU, he is for all intents and purposes my superior, however I doubt his experience truly matches mine. Still, I will treat him with respect and cooperate whenever possible.
I'm hopeful, he seems like a capable enough man and I'm sure our experience working together will be most positive."
