jamanasi was hit the hardest during the portal storms, several portals were carrying the Xen spores which were carried out by the wind. After the combine took over the earth the city was mostly abandoned. The city itself is ruled by the Xen infection, the city is covered all over whit Xen plants and Xen wildlife. There is a tower which is cowered whit the Xen mushroom-based plants which release spores every hour, and because of that, it's impossible to survive near the city without a hazmat suit or a gasmask. The Xen spore infection will make the spores live inside the host's body, slowly turning the host on their side. The host after being infected will start to have the urge to climb on high places, After the host reached a tall building(or just a high place), the spores kill the host. after the host dies the body becomes living soil for the Xen plants. The combine regularly deploys the Xen clean up team near the city, trying to keep the infection inside the city. The virus itself goes as far as infecting striders, hunters, dropships, gunships, everything which is organic even a little bit.

Other than the issue that's been pointed out - there's others that need to be addressed. For something of this scale, this would need to be revisited to involve a more cohesive storyline and a much broader description of the region and the events that lead to an entire city being virtually swallowed by the storm and other entities over time. The structuring of your sentences are very dimmed down into the one sect. Furthermore, the current description isn't fitting. The virus doesn't make the greatest amount of sense (including the apparent infections of synthetic war machines used by the Combine) but what I can understand is its current form within the submission.

Also, to point something out rather quickly - there's nothing detailing the city at all other than "Xen Spores" which I've counted up more than three / four times in the one paragraph alone. Give us more on Jamanasi and what makes it a truly dreadful place and less of a 'The Last of Us' replication.

Good luck.
