In your own words, describe the Vortessence: The Vortessence is a force that the vortigaunts employ in a variety of ways, Passive, defensive, and offensive. These abilities include nearly anything from providing power to generators or healing to being used as a powerful offensive tool. It seems to me that it is passively available. Similar to 'The Force' in Star-Wars[Not in ability but in its essence] when it comes to day-to-day accessibility. But the more complex or powerful uses such as extensive healing, teleportation, and holding off what is effectively a god (gman) requires antlion essence. So far as I have seen the vortessence is a powerful tool.
Show how you interpret the difference between Vortigaunt RP and Human RP: Vortigaunt RP may revolve around maintaining close kinship with fellow vortigaunts, Possibly seeking more long-term goals, and assisting top-notch rebellion leaders as their abilities are a valuable asset to be used against the combine. They can also be used as a powerful tool by the combine itself as we have seen in HL:Alyx. As such vortigaunts may desire to remain reclusive, and distrustworthy of most humans that have not proven their loyalty to the resistance. Or at least distaste in the combine reign. Or they simple distrust humans as many vortigaunts first experience with humanity was violent. But this is all based on the typical. All characters are unique and have different backgrounds and personalities.
Provide your opinion on how your Vortigaunt would react to a fight between two resistance members: Roki'Mic'Cha is more developed physically and was more bull-headed than your average vortigaunt. He may join in on the fight if he takes the side of one or the other. Or if the fight was annoying him he might attempt to bonk their heads together to get them to quit.
Describe why you deserve/want a Vortigaunt character using your Vortigaunt's vocabulary:
This one, ah... no.. I. I have seen a decade of life in the eyes of his... my species. He has seen many great cities rise, and many great cities crumble.. and some simply fade. Some that he has directly partaken in their rise, and some their fall. But as I consider the prospect of coming to this city; I do not feel that I deserve anything for I am simply another wandering being of the Xen. But, I desire to contribute my experience to this city. Perhaps I can show another light to the humans of this city.. that there are vortigaunts that.. do not conform to what is typical...stoic, poor-spoken kin, powerful but humble. Many of my kin seem to share these traits that I lack. He.. takes.. no.. I take great pride in my individuality and my experience.
Provide a backstory of your Vortigaunt:

The Xen
Roki'Mic'Cha was born in the Xen, he has only ever known how to be subservient. But always reluctant. Roki during his time in the Xen only ever answered to physical force but he could not help it, compared to his other kin. He was larger and stronger than the standard. But as a consequence, he was much less attached to the vortessence. Using it was far more taxing on his stamina than what was considered normal That said he had to focus more on using his brawn and with more time focusing on his physical form, his weak attachment to the vortessence became worse and worse nearly to a point he is often outcasted by his fellow kin in some rare situations. He desperately wanted to escape his subjugation.. and when word came that the Nihilinth was sending forces to another dimension.. an opportunity to continue to flee the Union which appeared to be right at the Xen's doorstep.. He took that opportunity immediately. Eventually, he was selected.. if one can call it that. To go into the rift and that he did.
TL;DR Roki was born in the Xen, weak with vortessence, but physically strong. Took first chance to leave the Xen to the new world.
The Plateau
As he exited the rift with a flash of energy, him, three other vortigaunts, commanded by a rather angry and large Myrmex who went by Ak'han. Ak'han felt that we had not arrived at the right location and to make matters worse all but one of the group felt disoriented. Roki and the others had only ever known the Xen and now to step on a world was so strange. To have a single point of light that warmed their skin was odd to them. Accept for the Elder, who claimed to have been alive for the time on what was described as the voritigaunts home-world. They said the land was not too different apart from more minor variations and, even while commanded by the Myrmex Ak'han, the Elder helped the group find a bearing. Though the group had no idea where they would go, they knew that they would not survive at their present location. So it the elder directed the group to find a shaded area and meditate, connect with the vortessence, reach out to fellow kin, and join them. They eventually found a Plateau with a slight overhang and with the position of the sun, provided much-needed shade. There the vortigaunts would begin their meditation process, bellowing out great sounds that traveled kilometers. Roki however would not join, his passive connection with the vortessence was weak. But with his kin distracted, and Ak'han focusing on trying to figure out what to do, Roki saw an opportunity as the sun slowly set. Ak'han had left to find anything that may be edible, or if any Xen-life had found themselves in a similar situation, Roki slipped away, he didn't know what direction to go, but he just picked one and went on and on. Finally in some way or another, free.
TL;DR His group did not arrive at Black Mesa. But someplace farther away. His group decided to hold tight and wait and see what happens of the invasion. He took this chance to run away.
Survival in the storm.
Roki, through some time he found himself some comfort, keeping distant from both his kin and the many native fauna and beings of the earth at first. But with the lack of Xen life, he was forced to try other things. His first meal being various wild fruits, insects, and whatever he could chase down on foot. At first, his body rejected the new diet, but over time he found various things he could stomach, that being rodents and various rabbits. But his earthly diet aside, the moment he came across any Xen life he did not hesitate to hunt it down. As time went on, year after year he started to notice what was later learned to be called portal storms, brought more Xen life to him, but with the arrival of many Xen-life... he noticed a rapid lack of earth animals. But he was not concerned for the most part. This was probably the Nihilanths plan. Slowly turn this world into the Xen. Such a change he embraced.
TL;DR He lived on the land, he could only stomach some earthly things but it was a short-lived pain before Xen life became plentiful enough due to portal storms.
Subjugated again.
On one routine day, upon leaving his little shelter, there was something different about the days Portal Storms. Perhaps it was a mass-callout of his kin to warn the others of something dangerous, deep down he could feel it. His weak connection with the vortessence at the very least gave him a sense of danger. He decided to leave his shelter, and find refuge in a cave. There he stayed for many months, only to venture out for sustenance. With time he noticed fewer and fewer earth creatures, and that danger feeling he had in the back of his head was fading. But never went away. He still, never left his cave refuge. Until, in the dead of night, he heard a horrible sound. Like machines grinding words through speakers. Earpearcing whistles, and whines. The sounds were getting closer, their heavy trotting feet smashing into the ground near his cave. His cave did not go far, nor did it go deep. So he watched in fear of this strange sound. Then, through the darkness, as the steps came, several pairs of bright blue lenses, at first staring about, then they focus on him. Before he could get any reaction, something was shot at him, a duel pronged object, embedding itself painfully in his chest, before he could grasp at it to reach out, a loud charging sound came from it before it exploded, completely rendering him unconscious.
TL;DR he felt a faint warning from his kin calling out danger in mass. He hid in a cave where he was captured by Combine Hunters some days later.
The Coffin.
He awoke. His mechanical bindings he wore sense the Xen felt altered and he also had a new binding at his pelvic area. His already weak connection to the vortessence was completely stifled. He was in a small.. container that he would describe as a coffin. His body tightly restrained in this metallic prison. Occasionally it would open, a strange monstrosity walking on stilts would force food down his gob and the coffin would be closed once again. He soon noticed that the feeding was very routine.. very regular. He could almost literally count on it, so he used that as his method of time. He could count to two hundred and sixty thousand give or take a few hundred before he was fed. This became his 'day'. After what he felt was twenty 'days' the feeding did not happen. His 'cell' was being moved. Then.. it was being moved much faster. He kept counting as best as he could, roughly three 'days' before his pod came to a stop. It was opened.
TL;DR He was put in a combine pod where he was forced to re-imagine the concept of a day while locked away in either a facility or the citadel itself. He never knew. He was fed roughly every three days but he counted in seconds to this time. This became his day. Soon he was transported to his first city.
City-17
He saw two figures, dawned in white helmets, and suits. He knew these were humans... But how did he know this? They released him from his pod and demanded that he stand. How did he know their language? He understood the words perfectly. IT was so confusing.. until a 'broom' was shoved into his hand. He knew what it was, and what to do with it. He was shoved forward, held at a chain by this new captor. He was to moved dust, dirt, and trash off the sidewalks and onto the street. There were more humans. Citizens.. his new Subjucators called them. Fellow humans. There was a man named Doctor Breen. He always talked about humanity's salvation. He spoke of the Union. The Combine.. With praise. Yet here he was, sweeping litter off of sidewalks into a street. He never saw his other kin, never felt their presence. Surrounded by humans, in an unfamiliar world that he knew all the basics of how to maintain and clean. Artificial knowledge, re-calling memories that were not his own. This was his new life. Being alone in this new 'alien' world was oppressive enough. If he wanted to run he didn't know where to go. The city felt sprawling, maze light, each street, each nexus, all just looked the same. It almost felt like purgatory. He was told never to speak to anyone only to answer with silent compliance. The 'Citizens' looked at him with apathy and some even hate. His work was never rewarded beyond simply not being a target of abuse.
TL;DR He was put to work in City-17. He knew how to conduct his job thru the memory-replacement process. Probably happened during his time in the pod. He was subservient due to the feeling of isolation.
Relocation
Even with being outside and having a concept of a day again.. he still counted. He found that about three earthly days pass for every one day he made up. He was still fed every three day's like he was in the pod, so he simply just continued to go on as such. Though he was never praised, he was given more 'trust' to roam a wider and wider area. Soon enough he was allowed to perform his duties with only minor supervision. Don't leave the assigned district, check into your handler every five minutes you spend out of their sight. Simple rules.. and he worked at his own pace. Though this only lasted for a few earth days before he was told to return to his pen.. where another coffin was waiting for him. He complied and entered the pod was closed.. moved.. and transported.. he spent two earthly days in the pod until he was delivered to a new nexus, with the new administration, and new rules.
TL;DR he never did anything wrong generally speaking and was given more trust to do his job at his own pace. Which probably lead to him being relocated to a new city.
