In your own words, describe the Vortessence: The Vortessence is an interconnecting web of strings and threads making up the world beyond the normal eye of one who cannot see. I.E Humans and combine possibly to an extent. It gives the Vortigaunts their powers solely by the way the Vortigaunts perceive the Vortessence and how they interact with it. Due to their ability to interact with said webbing they can sometimes be seen as beings with great powers when in fact their powers are merely a product of their interaction with the Vortessence. However their interactions are not merely used for powers, but can also be used to communicate between those capable of sensing the Vortessence the same way they do.
Show how you interpret the difference between Vortigaunt RP and Human RP: Due to the Vortigaunt's interconnected nature of the Vortessence they posses more of a like-minded and broader grasp on the reality before them and rarely move to act with zeal or urgency. Humans on contrast widely vary from person to person while most common humans will look out for themselves first and foremost at no fault of their own. They put more emphasis on material things and concepts they can grasp easily while Vortigaunts seek to understand and process their situations as a whole rather than a shard. This makes them fairly more complex to understand due to their strange way of perceiving the world. In terms of OOC roles? Voritgaunts should be more focused on delivering tasteful roleplay that isn't commonly found in humans due to their strange, alien nature. Even acting as conduits to understand the world better where the normal citizen may be stuck simply knowing what's presented before them.
Provide your opinion on how your Vortigaunt would react to a fight between two resistance members: Kla'Kthagan's earliest teachings from an older, wise vortigaunt teacher of his was to observe and reflect. If he were to witness two of his friends fighting each other he would wait and note their reasons for transgression if able to at all. Once the fighting would finish however his priority would be to offer his assistance in nurturing the divide between the two said resistance members in hopes of repairing and avoiding future disagreements and fights.
Describe why you deserve/want a Vortigaunt character using your Vortigaunt's vocabulary: We see in the void of pretending a devouring cancer; one born of muddiness and nullification of the masses. We seek to break the shell of the mundane with the annuals we have experienced. We lay ourselves before you at the dawn of this moment knowing you will foresee wisdom in our words. Soon the yoke will shatter and we shall be born anew in this communion of characters. We will be still and observe your judgement; a great stroke to determine the path.
Provide a backstory of your Vortigaunt: Kla'Kthagan's life is a mysterious and slighty confusing one. What he knew in early life was only servitude at the grip of the Nihilanth before a great shattering commenced within the world of Xen. He was thrusted out onto the barren soils of Earth only to experience a great catastrophe soon after with the invasion of the Combine. It was only mere weeks that Kla managed to taste freedom before the Combine found him and threw him in shackles. Fate however awaited him in City 18 for when he was transferred he met another, older vortigaunt who taught the younger one much about the ways of the combine and partially about the humans. However this time spent with his 'teacher' was spent partially in shackles and then underground where he was freed early on by the efforts of a masked resistance member. However his perception of the world shifted when his teacher fell in a raid and he was captured once again. This time to be sent to a different city far from the familiarity of City 18. Kla was left broken and searching for answers with no clear wisdom in sight besides what was taught unto him. With the Vortessence severed once more he is left feeling alone and fearful of what will become of him now.
