In your own words, describe the Vortessence: A web of 'life force' touching all living things, and yet very few outside of Vortikind are aware of it. It may be the fabric of the universe itself, or simply part of an even greater set of fabrics that touch all that exists. Vortigaunts treat it as a universal constant, and so it must be.
Show how you interpret the difference between Vortigaunt RP and Human RP: Vortigaunts, despite their power, seem to move a bit slower for lack of terminology. They are rarely in a rush to see something done, save for specific circumstances. Human emotions vary greatly from that of vortigaunts. Vortigaunts view loss, sorrow, separation, unity, affection, happiness, sadness, and anger much differently than your typical human. Citizens are most often either attempting to become more loyal, straddling the line, or aiming to become some form of active resistor. Vortigaunts, in my opinion, seem to view themselves as serving a very particular purpose and having a specific position with the nature of the universe itself. Though they don't seem to really "preach" or spread this belief as if it were a religion or culture, they reference it as if it just is this way, as if it were just the laws of reality humans are blind to and struggle against.
Vortigaunts near-hivemind status also gives them a very different grip on reality, with a more constant, flowing web of emotion, and a keen perception of a layer of reality humans are unaware of.
Vortigaunts are almost always calm and collected, though they may raise the voices in times of concern, they rarely show true vocal, evident distress unless the circumstances appear to be truly dire.
Provide your opinion on how your Vortigaunt would react to a fight between two resistance members: Unless it was life threatening, my vortigaunt would not actively intervene, and merely suggest that their grievances be solved amicably for better protection and success of the whole.
If it were a life threatening fight, my vortigaunt would continue to push for an amicable solution, and may often choose not to actively intervene at all, and instead provide aid when the matter is said and done.
Describe why you deserve/want a Vortigaunt character using your Vortigaunt's vocabulary: "We wish to not only provide an enriching Vortigaunt portrayal to this community, but further our own horizons and, at heart, desires. The vortal perception is one that is unique, and brings with it many graceful aspects absent from the human, and would not be plausible from such a perspective."
Provide a backstory of your Vortigaunt: Var'Shok arrived on Earth during the portal storms. He was present in Xen, minding his business and in shackles until the death of Nihilanth. Working machinations of the enslaver, tending to the Grunts, day in and day out. Upon reaching Earth, he shortly struggled with this newfound sense of freedom. Quickly, though, he adapted to the nature of Earth, living in wet and dark spaces and poaching modest amounts of food from the wilds. He stayed far clear of the Combine's influence, traveling far out of his way to avoid Overwatch synths and troops. In recent years, he has crept closer to the City 8 Metroplex. Though he is aware of the human languages, he has rarely interacted with humans before. What he knows comes from his kin, and the minutia and ripples of the Vortessence. He has interacted plenty with others of his kin, exchanging goods such as food, blankets, and cookware. Var'Shok has now found himself in a position where he may interact with the humans of City 8, and the more-than-certain hideouts of resistant humans who may dwell around and even in the City itself. Perhaps now it will come time to form experiences of his own with humanity. (If more detail is required feel free to let me know, I'd be happy to update.)
