Vortigaunt Status: Preferably free as I'd think that would make it easier for me to help players have a fun experience and not just /me sweeps the streets until someone lures me into the sewers or something and frees me, but I'm still fine with being enslaved.
In your own words, describe the Vortessence:
A binding life-force, which allows Vortigaunts to speak to each other telepathically, they use this force to power their powers. some of the powers a Vortigaunt has would be: A powerful green energy beam, usually takes a few seconds of charging up before being able to fire. With this beam, they are also able to power things such as batteries. But mostly it is used as a defense weapon/offensive weapon depending on the Vortigaunt. A second power that is used pretty often would be their power to heal with this same green essence. It is also apparently the fabric of the universe made of vortal cords.
Show how you interpret the difference between Vortigaunt RP and Human RP: Vortigaunts act as a slave force for the Combine with even less free will than humans. they are connected to the vortessence and as such see themselves as a type of hivemind while also wielding powers that connect them to fellow vortigaunts (Vortigaunts captured by the combine however typically are somehow cut off from the vortessense)
Provide your opinion on how your Vortigaunt would react to a fight between two resistance members: I believe a normal Vortigaunt would attempt to stop the fight, by either defusing the situation with words or if that doesn't work taking their weapons never involving itself in the fight. If it's a verbal fight I don't think a Vortigaunt would intervene until it got heated, i.e insults are being thrown back and forth and they're about to fight, then I'd think a Vortigaunt would step in and try to defuse the situation again with words.
Describe why you deserve/want a Vortigaunt character using your Vortigaunt's vocabulary: We want the Vortigaunt Whitelist to provide roleplay for The Humans, we believe we would provide fun for The Humans, giving them the option for a different and unique interaction with us.
Provide a backstory of your Vortigaunt: Gal'A'Gungs life would begin on the run from The Combine, though luckily during this chase, he was able to escape into the Xenian dimension in here he would become enslaved but also begin developing some of his strongest bonds between himself and his connected brothers. In his free time of this world, his brothers would teach him how to cook, more specifically how to cook head crabs, he would become a devilish cook his food loved by most Vortigaunts. Then the Mesa incident happened, this incident, later on, would free him. During the Mesa incident, Gal'A'Gung would become out of range of one of the controllers, they were able to have a civil conversation with one of the scientists at the Black Mesa Lab, where he would begin his first development with humanity and due to this conversation with the kind scientist who taught him many things of the human race, such as there emotions, what they had invented. Because of this incident, Gal'A'Gung would begin to respect human life for intellect and kindness. Though unfortunately, he would become in range of a Controller again, forcing him to kill one of the first humans he had the chance to speak with. After this, he would continue fighting in the Black Mesa Lab regretting more and more each time he would kill a human. But midway through a fight, halfway through a charged beam, Nihililanth would be killed by Gordan Freeman. His beam would stop and he would simply walk off with no explanation, he'd walk and walk eating whatever new foods he could find until eventually mid-way through the seven-hour war he'd find an old man who was suffering from Tuberculosis the poor old man could not afford treatment of this disease so he offered to take the chains off of the Vortigaunt so he could truly be free. In return, the Vortigaunt would heal the man's disease by conjuring up his healing power, and with a couple of chants, he'd place the ball over the man beginning to heal his disease, and with this done the Vortigaunt left off to find his life. Now here he is halfway in his travels he stays at City 8, hiding in the sewers, filth-ridden and on a journey to find his meaning in life.
